Ok so looking for some opinions on where to book a room in Vegas. Taking the girl there soon and I'm looking at either Mandalay Bay, Wynn, or The Venetian. Can't decide if the Bellagio might be overkill or not haha. Open to other suggestions as well. BTW I'm 24, shes 21 and its for New Years if that helps with suggestions.

Thanks

Check Expedia, I just booked 2 nights next week (For the Las Vegas Bowl!) and I got the Luxor for $70 a night (Normally over $100) so I'm sure they have some smoking deals on the luxury hotels

the venetian is nice, so is the wynn, it really doesnt matter all that much though cause the rooms are pretty much all the same, i dont think you would spend much time in them anyways, at least i didn't.

Do you want to be on or off the strip? Upscale hotel or a party place?

On strip for a nice hotel - Either the Bellagio or the Venetian.
Off strip for parties and a younger crowd - The Hard Rock or The Palms. The Hard Rock is much closer to the strip.

I've stayed in Bellagio, The Venetian, and Mandalay Bay. Bellagio was nice, but I don't think it was worth the money. The Venetion's rooms were big and nice. I wasn't impressed with Mandalay Bay at all.

I live in Vegas. My vote goes to Venetian because:

1: Visually, the coolest hotel. (I'm assuming youre gonna do the tourist thing and look around and take a bunch of pics)

2: Located in the middle of the strip.

3: Every room is a suite.

Of course, it is a little more expensive than mandalay bay, but cheaper than bellagio or wynn.

Damn - Wish you could find rooms in AC for that cheap. I've only stayed at the MGM and that was nice but I am sure much better is out ther for cheaper.

Last time out, I stayed at The Venetian, 4 nights complimentary. :) Was an amazing hotel. The room was BIG and very nice. Check The Palazzo which is the new hotel next to The Venetian. Same rooms but the price is cheaper.
Next time out I will be back The Venetian or The Palazzo, hopefully comp'd or I might check out The Wynn. I love the pool at The Wynn.

I've been 7 times. Make sure you stay in the middle or close to it, where comfortable shoes.

Also ask yourself if you will be spending a lot of time at the hotel or just sleeping there, this will make a difference too. When we go by the time we get back in it's around midnight and we are gone by 9am, so it's just a bed to us. Make sure you take her to the speedway, lots of cool shops there to see.

A couple things I would suggest :

Stay somewhere near the middle of the strip or you will end up paying an arm and a leg for cabs like I ended up having to do.

Dont go too overboard on $ for a room considering you probably wont spend much time in there at all. There is just sooooooo much to go and see.

Of all the casinos I went into , the Venetian was by far my favorite.

If you are a AAA member...look into their hotel deals... Sometimes they can get unbeatable prices... if you are not a AAA member...the deals are so good sometimes that you'd still save $ by signing up for AAA...and then booking a hotel.

I agree with everything you said, I go 2-3 times a year for UFC events and my favorite hotel was Palms and The Venetion. I stayed at Mandalay Bay first couple fights but we stayed at the Palms the next time becasue we heard it was an awesome place to party fight weekend and its the truth! I would say Venetian is the nicest but Palms is alot of fun if your looking to get wild! Palms is better than Hard Rock IMO. When we go back the 27th for the Ultimate UFC we are staying at The Palms again!
