I know the car and driver 1/4 is an estmated time and I am pretty sure the motortrend is too. I will be suprised if it puts down those numbers. Maybe not the 11.7, but it wont be running 127 mph.

Nice! Were those numbers on street tires or drag radials/slicks? I bet a shot of nitrous and some slicks would put that baby in the 10s.

Actually, I've got video of the new ZO6 running the 1/4 in high 11's and trapping 125mph. I'll see if I can link it if you want.

Damn these cars are getting quicker and quicker every year. I'm sure by 2010 we'll have cars running 10 second quarter miles from the factory for around $85,000.

The times don't really suprise me, it's the rest of the package that does. To be fast while maintaining driveability and gas mileage is impressive. The fact that this car can do well in the 1/4 and still pull close to 1g on the skidpad says a lot!

No. The mags ARE OUT and this is what the car ran. These are not estimates. If you live in Manhattan, go look for the C&D or MT October issues. They tested the Z.

This was done on oem tires. Bone stock from the factory with it's runcraps on

those times are right. and you won't be picking one up for $60,000, i do believe msrp is gonna start at $70ish, and dealers will jack that up for more profit. i wouldn't be suprised to see some of these cars going for near $100,000, since they're making a limited supply of them.

Internet=facts. Look them up.

Z06 starts at $65,800. They can easily be had at MSRP. Easily. Call Les Stanford, Maxie Price, any number of other large dealers. Both the major corvette forums have tons of people who have purchased at MSRP, cars already built, waiting for GM to release them from holdback...

Hmmm. That is pretty ****in fast! I may be wrong, but isnt that even faster than the Ford GT? The specs on the GT say 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and 1/4 in 11.8???
