To make over 1k rwhp, i'd need more compression than I make and spin the TVS harder than I do. I cant physically make that make power with my current configuration. I did make 876/923 on stock longblock so Id imagine with more compression and cams and high rpm limit, I could maybe hit 950 but Im perfectly content with anything over 900.

Great pic and advice as always Jordan.
If you have thoughts of future NOS, plumb the lower intake now is my advice.
I bought Birdoc's lower already modded and the NOS bar system in there was kept with lines capped, for future easy install IF needed :)
My point, you'll be swapping the blower, but having the lower intake ready will save lots of time.

Making 1000WHP is possible with the stock TVS along with a few mods such as a return style fuel system, E-85, and proper tune. Don't sell the 2.3L TVS short.
I would agree, but it is not easy. I'm sitting around 940rwhp and 'might' be able to touch 1000hp with an iced intercooler, return fuel system, race E85 and aggressive tune.
For guys going all out, it just doesn't make sense to keep the 2.3 TVS when bigger blowers are readily available.
For me personally, I echo Justin that I want instant OEM style TVS response, and I am building this as a STREET car, so return fuel and TVS 2650 are my only future plans if I want more.
If I really want more, then I will take out the race Foxbody--looking at a serious high boost turbo Coyote True Street revival for spring 2018!

MPS had Army drill time so its been slow. Only thing left is run the fuel lines and do the parachute and handle. Almost there

looks great Justin can't wait to see it lay some numbers down. I need to get my lower intake ported by Jason next year. I just picked up a ice tank. I'm wondering there's some power in going from my 10% to a 15% lower

Jason does great work and I saw some measurements of OD... There isn't much difference between IW 10% and 15% but a huge amount of difference between ATI 10% and 15%. Apparently the IW 10% is more like 12-13%

Hey Justin

Did they actually get the engine between the frame rails with the valve covers installed?

I was told in the past that the valve covers had to be removed to do what you're showing in the pictures.

Hopefully you'll have it running soon

The driver side went in (it was close) but the passenger side cover has to be installed after the engine is put on

Ah.........I see now I understand what the gray plastic was for. I thought you did it to protect the finish on the valve cover. I didn't think about the fact you were keeping the possibilities of dirt entering the engine because there was no valve cover. Glad to see you progressing along. Hopefully I'll see the end result for mine ...........some time too.

Looking good! I too am excited to see how this new 2.6 tvs performs
Can't wait to see the new TVS 2650 but this build will still be 2.3 TVS. I'd assume it'll be on the short list for a 2.7 when available.
Stay at the grind BC, any goal date yet?

Itll be worth it man. I know the grind. Let me know if you need something
Thank you. I'll keep that offer in mind. The only thing I'm trying to figure out at this point is valve covers that will work with the SC and -12 crankcase vent lines. I think I need to find and early set of the 96-98 or the 98-04 Cobra covers, but I'm not sure of which I need and how they'll work with the coil packs and coil covers.

No set completion date. The good thing is the car, engine and most of the parts have finally arrived at the assembly location this past weekend. So it won't be as long as it has been, but there will be some time yet to assemble this mess, as it will require a few things to be custom built to do what I want.
