So up for sale is a used set of 04 cobra front brake calipers with brackets. i want to start off with saying that these will need a rebuild before use.. I bought them with the intention of rebuilding and throwing them on my foxbody. However i underestimated how hard it was going to be to rebuild them so i bought another pair from Autozone. I only tried to take apart one caliper and failed to even get the pistons out.. i used the grease gun method to try and push the pistons out, and while this was working my grease gun couldn't get them all the way out. I tried to grab onto the end of the pistons with channel locks and wiggle them out and in doing so nicked up the pistons in a few areas.. (see pics) so one caliper is full of grease and has nicked pistons and the other is perfectly fine (apart from torn piston boots). I did some research on the nicks on the pistons and it doesn't seem to be to much of a problem as the boot is what keeps the fluid in the bore. Also the nicks are at the top of the pistons. Also the banjo bolt holes are in perfect shape, i tried to get some up close pics of the threads so you can tell they are not stripped or marred up. So before i box these up as cores and give them back to Autozone i figured i'd list them here. I'm asking 170 shipped OBO for the two calipers and mounting brackets.
