My wife and I test drove a 2018 Mustang GT Premium this past Saturday. The car was manual (still a fan of shifting gears).
The car was okay, maybe I built it up in my head, but it didn't feel faster than my 2013. Granted my 2013 isn't stock, but the 2018 was just that, okay. I like the gadgets, the Apple play was cool and of course it rode nice and smooth. But that's about it, not enough to make me trade my 2013 for it.
Oh and the release point for the clutch was way to high for me. And my wife killed it a couple of times. Neither of us cared for that.
Anyway, not bagging on the car, it had some nice features, just not it for me.

I drove a 17 base auto GT not that that long ago.
I was expecting a healthy increase in ride quality and at least
a bump in handling. IMO, it still crashed hard over moderate
bumps and didn't handle as well as my 15 4 cyl AWD fusion (yes
it did handle a little better than my base GT 14, but a base 14 GT
handles like crap, so not hard to be a bit better than that).

I thought the effort was pretty sad for Fords flagship.
Maybe more seat time would have changed my opinion,
but I doubt it. Decided on the blower for the Stang and
a 17 Sport Fusion for a DD.
