I got home with my reworked cylinder heads and i thought they gave me some dual valvespings for free.
I went to press on what i thought was the inner spring but it compresses way to easily with a flathead screwdriver..like 3 pounds of force.

What is that in the middle of the springs?

If it's not a spring then it must be a dampener. It will cancel out vibrations as the spring cycles.

Just found out that is what it is... a Spring Damper THANKS !

I looked it up and for those who don't know:
"Racers who run stiff springs and repeatedly twist their engines to excessively high RPM have experienced valve spring surge, the vibration caused by the natural frequency of the spring as it is cycled. Surge can also result in valve float, and can be avoided by using an opposing spring load or damper." - Credits to https://www.motorstate.com/ValveSpringBasics.htm
