So, I got a borescope and thought I would try it out today. I have a small amount of smoke on startup with breathers. Judging by the wetness on the piston at the cylinder wall, it looks like I have some oil passing the ring land on the piston, but I'm not an expert. Maybe this is coming from a leaky valve? I have not done a compression test or leak down yet. I'm waiting for a more cooler day.

Pretty much classic detonation pitting. Some scoring on cylinder wall also.
