Aren't some people fat because of legitimate health problem or is that just bs? I'm thinking something could be out of wack with their body causing them to gain weight.

Outside of thyroid conditions that cause extreme weight gain, (which are rare, and usually treatable) some people do gain weight a lot easier than others.

I'm sure a few of you can attest to that, growing up I used to eat Mc'Donalds and bullshit all day and I was always skinny, I had friends who ate the same but were heavier.

Genetics, natural hormonal levels, high cortisol levels and a lot of other factors like stress play into how much fat your body stores, and where it stores it.

However, there is a limit. Being 30-40lbs overweight is one thing, being a 300-500lb lazy, disgusting behemoth is another. People who are that fat are so because of one reason, they have eating disorders.

Yes,there are some people that have over active thyroid glands, but that is rare, take a look next time you go to the buffet or McDonald's or KFC, these people simply take in too many calories, and burn too few.. It's similar to smoking, people know it has risks, but keep doing because it comforts them in someway.

THIS ^^^ Next time any of you are at the grocery store check out line, take a look at all the garbage in people's grocery carts and then take a look at the person pushing the cart...it should be no surprise as to the direct correlation between what's in the cart and the physical shape of the person.

It's not really struggling at all. They just have no concept of self-control. I was 260lbs when I was 18. Made the decision to get in shape myself. Been committed. Dropped to 170, and now I'm stable at 205 since I've been focused on muscle mass. They have no excuse

AWESOME JOB!! Glad to hear you are onto a healthier more fulfilling life style.
