You should be able to polish those wheels with a powerball and mothers billett polish or some kind of wheel polish providing these wheels are indeed not clear coated. You keeping those wheels since you said you might not keep them on your cobra? I might be interested in the wheels if you want to sell them.

just bought these. not sure if i'm keeping them on the cobra though. how do i polish them? they're aluminum. looks like they have water spots. can i wet sand these with 1500? no clearcoat on them?

yeah they polished out good. used mothers polish. i was worried about some round spots that looked like water spots like after washing a car and not drying it. not sure if thats what it was. but they came off after rubbing each spot about 10 times. will Turtlewax rubbing compound work as a wax on them? i bought the one that says it helps remove scratches. I'm a newbie at waxes.

You could either put some kind of wax on the wheels or spray the wheels with a product called keep klean wheel that is made by eagle. The spray leaves a film on the wheels to act as a barrier to keep stuff off the wheels. Always having to shine the wheels up is the down side to non clear coated polished wheels sadly.

I took all these pics with the 285's on the back. Now, there is 305's on the rear and it looks MUCH better.
