I'm always looking for an excuse to upgrade parts, and a dead battery was the perfect time to put in something better (lighter). After researching my options, I decided upon the Antigravity ATX12-24 with a right positive terminal and saved 24 lbs!

I have to admit I'm really impressed with the battery mount. It easily bolts into the factory location, looks at least as good as OEM, and holds the battery securely because it was designed specifically for Anitgravity batteries. The installation was incredibly simple and Morris Engineering includes everything you need to make things work (hardware and battery terminals).
I also followed their advice about protecting my new battery from heat using the OEM battery blanket. It's not sexy, but neither is killing a $400 battery prematurely. Staple the blanket at a seam to ensure a snug fit
