I just bought my first terminator 2004 like I mentioned in the Terminator Talk forum, I have been told it has a few bolts on and I want to take it to a good performance shop that really knows what they are doing on this svt cobra cars so that they can take a look at it and maybe do a tune and see where am at. I moved to texas 4 month ago and don't know much about the area. I would appreciate any of you texas guys for any advice on performance shops. I have done some research and seen many online but would prefer a recommended shop instead of just show up like a rookie in any of the ones I have seen. Thank you in advance.

HPP in Lewisville, end of story. Manny is the tuner and knows his stuff. Do some google searching and you'll find nothing but positive about them. Seriously, end of thread lol.

Seriously.... hpp end of thread been using them for years, Manny is a god
Am seriously considering them. Do you know a approximate price dont have to be precise for a tune. I have basic bolts on like long tubes, MAC catback, borla stingers, 4:10 gears, 2.8 SC pulley, JLT CAI, afco dual pass heat exchanger not much but I want the car to be on a safe tune and that runs nice. I have never done a dyno tune before and this is my first terminator and dream car lol so I just want to learn as much as posible before going to guys that do this for a living.

A dyno tune will usually run $500 or so. Could be higher, could be lower. On a side note, I couldn't imagine driving this car with 4.10's.

Is very difficult to hook on 1st thru 3rd that's all am noticing right now. What's else comes from the 4:10's that you couldn't imagine driving this car with 4:10?

Traction would be my biggest problem, highway gas mileage would be my second, and drone at high speed would be my third.

My biggest complaint would be traction. These cars have so much power down low - I have driven a 2003 Mustang GT with 4.10's and my Cobra has 3.55's - putting more power into the car with 4.10's would be straight crazy. Fun probably though!

Edit: On topic, I live in Texas as well. Lots of options for tuners.... Like someone mentioned @04sleeper is a member here and has lots of positive reviews and experience. I think he's out of DFW. That would be my vote. If you want to take it to a shop, it depends on what city you're in! Texas has it lucky in the performance car world.

I agree with all you said, you're right. I have tried to contact him but haven't got no response back. I'll keep trying hopefully I can get him to check my car out, I bought it few weeks back. I don't even want to race it hard because I don't know if is tuned or not, I dont know much about the car. I live in red oak texas. Thank you for your advice.

And it'll be worse with the 4.10's. And if you ever want to go for a bigger blower it'll be thay much worse. IMO stick with the stock gears.

I was at HPP today with my 13gt and they were working on two Whipple terminators at the time and had 6-8 others in the lot waiting to be worked on. It was like some kinda terminator hangout haha. They must know what up with them to have so many people go there with them.
