Picked up a notchback roller.....Coyote or Terminator swap?

A local club guy was getting rid of some of his projects so I picked up this 92 notch.

Very clean car. Zero rust, newer paint, rod panels.

It's going to be a couple year project to work on with my son's.

I just don't know what swap I want to do.

Leaning towards coyote, but I've always been bias when it comes to the terminator.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I'm pretty partial to these cars. I would go one of two routes: assuming it's an original SSP I would restore it back to new. The notchbacks are climbing in value. Or I would put in a 302 with a blower of some sort and kinda make it quasi period correct. A good boss 302 block with good heads and cam with turbo or blower and there ya go. The car is lightweight and doesn't need a ton of power to get going.
I personally prefer foxes that are more true to the original, but a coyote would be very nice in it too.

Coyote or period correct. Though period correct may end up costing more than the Coyote with the rarity of 90's wheels and blowers, depending on how crazy you wanna get with it.

Coyote swap it. Put your money towards suspension and you will have a fast little car. As light as a notch is, that's the route I would go.

I've been following alot of coyote swap builds..

It seems relatively straight forward as many have already done the ground work and worked out the issues.

Not interested in restoring it to its formal glory. But love the idea of some kind of "restomod."

You can buy turn key coyote set ups for 6-7k, everything that you'd need to complete the swap.

Then I would just have to worry about interior, suspension and rear end.

Spend some time perfecting the body and chassis

Then in a few years look for a wrecked 2018 mustang with a coyote and the 10 speed auto to swap in

I'm not an auto guy, but this. It won't be long before a few cracked up '18s with the A10 are out there. A fox will absolutely scream with that setup in stock form, and you have the ability to upgrade later with a blower and maybe a converter. Congrats on a nice find!

I did a 01 cobra swap , into a 91 coupe .
Also did the IRS ,car was well balanced .

Sold it to finance a coyote swap into my 84 Gt T-top , so i am biased

I like the idea of a coyote swap. You could also do a 351W based 427 stroker, carbureted, Z-headed monster. Car is now 25+ years old, no longer gotta worry about emissions testing.
It’s 35 years in NC which is why I sold my 92 LX 5.0.
