Demon tops out at 168 stock, gt500 runs 10.8@133 (that we know of) stock. Zl1-1le and most chevys could aspire to have better exhaust notes/loudness stock. My point is the factory options are not 100% perfect but it’s obvious to anyone that they have huge value over all when compared to the expensive worldly options when you have to knit pick them on things like tires, exhaust, and general bolt on modifications. Today we get nearly perfect factory pro builds that need bolt ons. Yesteryear we had good general platforms that took well to bolt ons and expensive pro builds. The industry listened is my point. Take your cake and eat it. You have nothing to complain grossly about save blown diffs which dodge will warranty even after drag racing on slicks, no manual in a top tier mustang which ford may even cave on come 2020/21, and arguably the need for an optional dct and more lovely exhaust in the zl1-1le.
I’ll gladly take a 10 second car that can probably go 190 to 200+ and devour twisties for $75k.
I’ll also gladly take a car that to me is the evolutionary ethos of the terminator as in a wide body hellcat redeye manual or the boldly proud 1 dimensional dodge demon for $70-85k.
I’ll gladly take a zl1-1le for $70k
I modify anything I buy and personalize them. All of these cars are great. If you have a problem with American performance offerings today, then piss off.
