Also irrelevant, even though that cost would be quite negligible, you are basically trying to silence other's wants because you already have what you want. That aint cool.Build both an auto and a manual and the cost goes up for each. Ford has gone with one transmission in their top dog Mustang for decades now. Why would this one be any different.
You mean the car Ford would only sell to people with “social media presence”? Ya another huge blunder by the blue oval.
As this is “restricted” to those who want to express to Ford the want for a manual, I’ll ask this question, who here has owned a manual Mustang with over 750hp?
Who here has owned a manual Mustang with over 526hp?

So people should always just be happy with what they are offered and never tell the manufacture what they want??? Got it, not like people have been constantly complaining about ford taking forever to come out with this car.... Looking at you...Lol.
I wanted a manual too but it simply isn't happening. I've learned to accept the things in life which I cannot change including having the fastest shifting transmission in a Mustang - ever. That...is cool.
And by the way, cost is completely relevant. Economies of scale are at play here with all GT500's scheduled to get the DCT. Cut that number in half (for example) and the unit cost increase becomes significant. Factor in development of another TR6060, one that would be the lowest volume TR6060 transmission produced for a GT500 to date, and you just bumped the price of the GT500 up by a healthy notch. That isn't "silencing other's wants" but rather a stark economic reality.

Ford can say whatever they want. It's what they DO that matters.blk02edge said:If you were correct why would ford even bother saying they'll offer a manual if they get enough demand?. Whether or not the DCT is better or not (yes, I know it is better) is not relevant no matter how much ya think it is.
If you weren't trying to silence people asking for it you wouldnt be in this thread.

Shelby’s personal Cobra roadster was an Auto.
