With Pullies, Aluminum D/S, 3.73's, shifter, O/R X pipe, Flows, Subframes, Springs, CAI, 15" Nitto D/R's and NX 100 shot I ran 12.05@114. I have no doubt I would of hit 11's if I kept on trying. So for 3K you can do it if you want spray. I was launching at 3200 and the spray was on bythe time I was shifting to 2nd.

stock GTs put down around 230-245 stock, so hes saying that he got 170rwhp from a 100 shot?:smmon:

God woman, it's not a 5.0! :D

You could do it with a 150 shot, but unlike a forged piston 5.0, you'll only be running 11's for a short period of time. I say just get the following and you'll have a good running car.

built 8.8 rear end/axle kit with 4.10 gears
Full exhaust w/ longtubes, offroad pipe, and catback
short shifter
24lbs injectors
75mm throttle body
aftermarket upper plenum
diablo chip and tune
underdrive pulleys
N/A Anderson power pipe with the matching mass air for 24lbs'ers
steeda timing adjuster
aluminum drive shaft
Drag radials

With that, and some practice you should see mid to low 12's.

This was taken from another forum from some guy saying he beat the shit out of an 03' cobra if I remember right. The guy is full of shit.

definitely do it right. i've got an 00gt that i'm slowly building to run down around the 11's but i agree i would'nt just go out and bolt a bunch of stuff on without building up my rear first, especially with the kind of power you're looking for..i'm a girl and i know this :) you learn as you go, trust me...but good luck with your project in anycase, don't take the easy route just b/c its cheap. start with the entire exhaust (x pipe, catback, intake, plenum, TB etc) and build from there...the car needs to breathe first and it's gonna take alot more than $3000 to do what you want right...a healthy car is a happy car :) If you want something to blow up, just buy a honda lol.

a 150 shot seems a bit to much on a stock 4.6 , I wouldnt go with anymore than a 100 shot if it was my car, just to be safe......just my .02 :)

I agree I don't want to blow up anything. So far I have got 3:73 gears K&N filter Bassani o/r x, and a flowmaster cat-back. I really don't want the flowmaster any more does anyone else hate chambered exhaust??? LOL I did all of this before I got the 3000 so I still have some to spend. I would like a blower. I don't plan on running 11's with just the 3000 I just want to get as close as I can! Thanks for all the help though.

Damn, I can't believe all the mis-information in this thread. My 01 2V GT ran [email protected] on a NX 100 shot at Bowling Green last weekend. Trey193 and Wuplash were both there and saw it happen. I was on BFG DR's at 3400# and pulled a 1.605 60'.

He went 11.9 ! ANd thats with a Automatic Ohh yea the Tranny has extra Clutch packs and a shift kit!

how are we shit talking a mustang GT, the girl asked for help getting into the 11s, and were just giving her advice on how to get to it. for a reliable daily in the 11s, its gonna take a built rearend, a shot, a fuel pump, a full exhaust, CAI, and slicks/skinnies, and a clutch...oh yeah, and a driver :D
