I just hope my engine build is half as meticulous as this!! Parts should be landing in Australia for mustang motorsport to do the tear down and rebuild in two weeks (lockdowns permitting). They’re the Australian “Shelby America” and happen to be 10 mins down the road
Daym he’s done an...
I’ve not felt this excitement in the 5.8 community for some time. Andrew get on and video the build and dyno that MF!!
Still waiting on my parts from the US... no where near as extreme as this but this is so inspiring.

I’ve read quite a fair bit of conjecture on this over the last few years (particularly with the VMP v KB rhetoric)
Best I can come up with is whipple will give you big power up top and VMP (eaton) will give you more power down low. KB won’t get going until it spins fast enough and then you need...
It’s entirely possible to improve the handling on the S197 to god like levels and it doesn’t have to break the bank. Even a ‘68 can have >1G cornering if you want it to

My diff guy said that the whine can be dialed in and out with the pinion angle. I have on car adjustable lower control arms so will be testing this out.
To be honest, the whine isn’t bad and so much more preferable to having the 3.31 - a relatively undrivable final because it’s way too long...
I believe the pinion bearing is the TIMKEN M802048 ...
Just rebuilt my diff after the pinion seal (or something) was leaking. Found the previous diff guy had literally shafted me by using the one in the kit as opposed to the one that the car was designed with
Did loads of research to track...
On the GT500, see if you can drive one that has suspension mods and is more dialed in. From factory they weren’t comparable to IRS. Frankly, they’re not confidence inspiring
I put a watts link in mine (cortex) and everyone who has driven it that has come from an S550 has been amazed. It still...
Thats awesome. I reverted to a classic battery after having issues. Will reach out to Antigravity to see if they will take an exchange! I’ll be in the US early August - hopeful!!

Update on the Lithium Antigravity in the S197.
It doesn’t work
Went for a track day the other day and the damn electrics kept dropping out. I believe that there is an issue with the voltage stability. Either too high or too low. I went through forscan and found codes for too high voltage...
A quick update on this now we’ve been for a few runs in the car.
I am experiencing some electrical issues - mainly the peripherals in the car such as stereo, Bluetooth and the dash. What seems to happen is that they all go through initialization randomly. Not quite at the level of rebooting...
