Getting ready to put a 2001 v6 into my 99 and don't really want to swap lower intakes at that time, so I was wondering if I could just remove the plates from the IMRC rods and leave the rods in place? Seems to me that would be ok but couldn't find anything to confirm it.

I picked up the donor 2001 engine last night and noticed one thing different about it.
