Hi All,
This weekend I replaced that ugly OEM Reservoir tank on my 17 GT350 with a black powder coated one from Shelby American. Here's my question to anyone who has installed the same or similar tank. The old plastic OEM tank had a min and max fill line on the front. This new one from Shelby...
I'm curious. Does anyone use 6th gear on the interstate? I have a 2017 non R GT350 and when on the interstate going around 75 MPH, 6th gear will put the RPMs at about 2200. This just feels too bogged down to me and I was wondering what people's opinions on weather or not this is bad for the engine.
I have not seen that, all I can attest to is my experience. When i got my GT350 out this spring and it was using oil so I took it to the dealer and the started logging it. I put about 3k miles on it while they were logging it and adding the oil themselves. It was using just over a qt to 1.9 qts...
I don't think Ford considers 1qt every 1k normal or acceptable. I was burning a little more than 1qt every 1k miles on my '17 and ford is replacing the engine. Should get it back next week.
I had similar thoughts after watching the video. I do like the idea though with my habit of running around the county roads on the weekends waking up the cows. :)

I got my GT350 for sticker, the same dealer also had another for sticker at that same time. At that time there were at least 3 others that I knew of within 50 miles, also going for sticker. so I think saying that not many GT350s will go for $1k over sticker isn't quite right.
He said that we will be able to register but not yet. That was a couple weeks ago. I just don't want to be waiting when others are registering which is why I am interested if anyone else has tried successfully or not.
