I had the same problem and ended up replacing the same torn hose. That seemed to fix it. I would maybe look deeper down. There are more hoses that are harder to reach. In fact, I believe it might be easier to remove the SC. Honestly, I'm not a tech though. The smaller hose was easy enough...
