No Heat inside cabin problem (and no A/C)

Sorry folks, no news. Pressure of work in the medical field means I won’t have time to look at the car in any depth for a while yet. As soon as things quieten down I’ll be sure to troubleshoot and close the loop on this thread. Good news is you’ve all given me a good head start on what to...

No Heat inside cabin problem (and no A/C)

I am the original owner. I have the Ford large shop manual and electrical diags so will review. hotcobra03: what a fantastic site! Thank you for sharing such a great resource. Just FYI, me asking these questions... I did all my own work years back, springs/shocks, MM caster/camber plates and...

No Heat inside cabin problem (and no A/C)

I burped the coolant when I replaced it a long time ago, but been years since that time, so maybe a factor. I'll check. I recall the burp plug was a nightmare to remove. Nearly mangled the square drive hole. The fans are definitely blowing as I get strong airflow from the vents, and feet are...

No Heat inside cabin problem (and no A/C)

Engine is running right in the middle of the temp gauge. Presumably I should be able to feel heat on both sides of the thermostat tubing to see if it's opening? I fitted a new thermostat years ago but don't recall if there's tubing both sides. I can check soon. I'll also try the compressor...

No Heat inside cabin problem (and no A/C)

Searched the forum for information but couldn't find much. Wondered if anyone has ideas on this problem, or if it's a known issue with a specific fix. 2003 Cobra has sat inside in dry garage for 4-5yrs, very seldom driven. Took her out in Summer and noticed the A/C wouldn't blow cold. I put it...

Best way to drain 3yr old gas?

Thanks for all the help, much appreciated. I decided to drain and refill fresh before starting. Been a while since I tinkered with it so had fun doing so... Steps: 1. Key off, disconnect fuel line at passenger side fuel rail. Pull metal retaining clip, use fuel line disconnect tool to release...

Best way to drain 3yr old gas?

Just checked and I see the disconnect. Just pop off the metal clip and pull apart? I have fuel disconnect tools, just been so long since I've used them, just want to be sure if they are needed for that connector.

Best way to drain 3yr old gas?

Question on running power to pump. Why the need if I can use vehicle power? Why wouldn’t the accessory key position work?

Best way to drain 3yr old gas?

Thanks. Thing is I’ve had opinions both ends of the spectrum, some saying I must drain not to damage parts (including an SVT dealer), some say fill it fresh and stay off boost until that tank has burned through. Just not sure.

Best way to drain 3yr old gas?

2003 Terminator has sat inside protected garage for last three years with a 1/4 tank of fuel which was fresh then and well treated with Stabil. It was run for 15mins to run it through. The Mobil 1 synthetic was changed back then, and battery has been on float charge since that time. What’s the...

Anyone else have shims under their trunk lid hinges???

My '03 vert was rear end shunted by a careless Suburban driver who reversed into it while parked in a shopping center lot. The insurance assessor has pointed out my vehicle appears to have been repaired before because there's a couple of thin metal shims under the base of the right trunk lid...
