This rule is now changed as of this week. ‘08 and newer on a DOT tire which is street legal in the state of register and has active ABS can now be modified and still run down to 9.99 and 135mph.
When I had a centri the boost was very linear, albeit a 2v and totally different platform. Yours seems to gain a lot all of a sudden at high rpm. That suggests to me that your cam timing may need revising to reduce the top end boost. I don’t know which pulley you run but that rapid gain at the...
I went with AED on mine. He is great at responding too email and has lots of experience. Significant throttle response and torque gain down low. If you have access to good fuel and put a smaller pulley on you will pick up a lot of power.
And yeah, adjust the table at the top end so it will measure and adjust above 10khtz. Might have to play with it, but you won't need much since the MAF curve should be pretty steep up there.
Which pulley? On good 93, if it's 3.25-3.375" you should be good at 15 deg baseline and let the tune add 1 or 2 more. After that, you'd be getting aggressive.
The MAF is capable of reading over 10, mine has been 10.3 I think with the stock airbox which is roughly a 100-107mm housing. There is probably a max value allowed somewhere in the tune. When I get home I will look at it. Which pulley you running and how many lbs/min of air at the pegging point?
However, sct might provide you access to the roush strategy if you ask them. You might have to pay or transfer your access from the existing stock strategy. They were pretty easy to work with in the past.
Vmp sells a kit for 15 and up. It's $99. Can probably work with our cars too. https://www.vmpperformance.com/2015-Mustang-IAT-harness-and-brass-air-temp-senso-p/15iatkit.htm
Ok so how are you setting up the timing to account for IAT post blower? curious in how that works as I have Advantage software too but have been wondering what to do. I guess we could adapt iat1 to use the sensor in the manifold vs the one in the MAF.
I thought the exact same thing when I put it on. After a month or so, I got used to it. Or maybe the suspension just didn't like hanging freely for the weekend during install and then got back to its normal self.
