    CD error

When the CD player in mine died, I went with an iSimple is31. It plugs into the back of the radio and gives you RCA inputs. Then using an RCA to 3.5mm cable, you can plug in an iPod, iPhone, Discman, etc. and keep your OEM head unit, amp and speakers. Cheap and easy.

Car rental for road trip. MA to VT.

Thank you! Was hoping someone would chime in with roads to take. Ben & Jerry's tour is definitely on my list of things to do. Still no luck with renting a fun car as yet. Hoping to drive a FRS/BRZ/GT86, Miata or something similar. Just to get a different feel from my '99 Mustang GT.

Car rental for road trip. MA to VT.

Nice. I've gotta see what they have to offer. Want to try something that's not a Mustang. Checked out Turo but they didn't have a good selection for the dates I'm planning. Hopefully it's updated often and may change as we get closer to August. Staying with a family friend who lives close to...

Car rental for road trip. MA to VT.

Hi there, I'm trying to plan a trip to the East Coast in August as I've never been. Will be flying from California into Boston, MA and then drive up to Montpellier, VT. I want to check out the scenic roads and such. Will also want to rent a fun car (RWD coupe, manual preferred but willing to try...

My fuse box is splitting... disconnecting everything

I'm having a hard time removing this bolt as well. I sprayed A LOT of WD40 and this bolt will not budge. Any tips? Help. Reference thread https://www.svtperformance.com/forums/threads/my-fuse-box-is-splitting-disconnecting-everything.943416/page-2

    Battery warning light

I didn't realize one could be gotten for that cheap. I'll look into that. Thanks. The nut is on the alt is definitely clean and tight. Correct. I left that ground disconnected on purpose and found it weird that the car started up and stayed running and not trigger the battery light. That...

    Battery warning light

I figure that O'Reilly's would be inclined to have my battery and/or alternator fail to they can sell me replacements. But alas, that is not the case. So I went home and checked as much wiring as I can in the engine bay and it mostly looks good. Then I went under the car and checked the ground...

    Battery warning light

I re-read your instructions and looks like that is my next step: check the ground that attaches to the engine block. Latest update. Went to get the battery and alternator tested out of the car. Both tested twice and both passed each time. Tech recommended checking grounds. ie. follow the...

    Battery warning light

Update. I took the battery out, cleaned the terminals with battery cleaner and a wire brush. Took the battery clamps off the wires and cleaned that. And also cleaned the wires. Put it all back together and the battery light came back on and off, and on intermittently again. Went to O'Reilly's...

    Battery warning light

Thanks for the replies fellas. I'll start by getting some battery contact cleaner and clean all the contacts and wires. I suspect (or hoping) that the wires are the issue since they are 18 years old. The alternator is 2 years old. The battery (brand new Motorcraft direct from Ford) and battery...

    Battery warning light

Hello there, I have a 1999 Mustang GT and have the battery warning light coming on and off intermittently for the past 3 months or so. Alternator was replaced 2 years ago and battery less than 1 year ago. Car starts up and drives just fine and never had any issues until today. This morning...

    FRPP Intake Manifold

Apparently this is a common problem on these 2V 4.6 motors (Mustang, Crown Vic, etc.). Pre-2002 Mustang GTs used an all plastic manifold which cracks at the seams from the repeated heating and cooling (AKA just driving the car) over the years. In 2002, there was a revised model where the two...
