What do you think of it on a supercharger? This is (obviously) a quick GIMP colourize job, but it is enough to get the idea down:
ETA: What I mean is orange like this, if you haven't seen the other thread:
Does anyone have one? If I'm taking my engine apart, I'd rather eat the cost of permanent fasteners now.
So far I have:
Head bolts
Supercharger to intake manifold bolts
Main cap side bolts
Balancer bolt (?)
If we can pool the knowledge of which bolts are single-use I'll run down...
Anyone have a guess where it is? I plan to build a stand to support the whole works while I lift the car off of it and then work on the engine. It would pretty much support the assembly the way the factory installation dolly did. (If anyone has photos of that, I'd be very happy for them!)...
Anyone have a drawing with the locations of the bolt holes for the bellhousing/block flange? I searched here and googled the f*** out of it, no luck.
Long story short I want access to the #8 cylinder on my engine. Is it possible to get the piston out the bottom, and then back in? (Given the engine out of the car, mind you.) If not, what is a good source for head gaskets & bolts?
If I can save taking the head off then great, if not I...
Am I right in thinking that the '04s have the aux input on the factory head unit for a sirius hookup? I'd like to get that for my car, and the more factory-looking it is, the better. Jim.
Anyone done anything sneaky with theirs? I don't want it rattling around the dash, and I'm sure as hell not drilling a hole! Let me know if you've got a crafty solution. My thinking at this point is to replace to factory FM antenna. Jim.
This car belong to anyone on here? I saw it early Dec when I was down there on TD (TDY to all you south-of-the-49th peeps). Nice looking car. Cheers. Jim.
Has anyone ever done this? If I ever get that 2.3L whipple, I'll have one surplus, and a truck to bolt it to. Question is, is there a suitable intake manifold, or is it a matter of that lash-up that KB had for 5.0 mustangs? :dw:
1. Yes, I searched.
2. How do you line up the flexplate on a 5.0L crank? There's the one extra hole on the crank, and the notched bolt hole of the plate, how do they relate? Jim.
So, here I am, rolling along when I notice a bit of a misfire. Anyway, after a bit of looking, I find this:
Needless to say, the missing bit is rattling around my #8 cylinder. :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: Anyone have a lead on the shop manual for these things? As much as I hate the idea I'm...
