I have a 01 cobra I've been thinking about adding a supercharger, but every article I read is from 8-10 years ago. Just curious what route people would choose now vs 8-10 years ago

Not much has really changed to be honest. The blowers have gotten more efficient, but the systems are basically the same.

Guys are usually going to suggest whatever they're running. I've always been a Procharger fan. Even after running a Vortech.

What mods are done go the car already?

I'm a big vortech fan.. After driving 600-850rwhp Terminator Cobra's around, I still stick with my Vortech.. I've never lost to a TS car.. Takes less power to turn a Centri as well

Mines Eaton swapped and I have under 3K in it with the tune and 03 tank and pumps. I went with the Eaton because I figured it would be more reliable being a Ford setup instead of aftermarket.

But it all really depends on your goals. My car has a stock shortblock and with the stock pulley I'm already pushing the limits (440 rwhp). Car was never meant to be a track monster, just a fun weekend car.

Sell 01, buy 15+ and supercharge it. If I had to do it all over again.

I want to keep my 01 cobra, I have no car payment, insurance costs next to nothing & now that the car is 15 years old the yearly tax cost almost nothing also only have 29k miles on it.
Think I've decided to slowly piece together a eaton swap

The eaton swap brackets are the best way to go. Not sure if the guy that made mine is still doing them.

If you're looking to make just a fun weekend car I'd suggest the Eaton swap and right under 3k is not bad. Not to mention the whine of those eatons is hard to compare.

Yup that's exactly what I want, will look good under the hood and really wanna hear that whine. Just wish somebody had a good write up on the install on 99/01 cobras

I followed this one and it's almost exactly the same. The only thing that I remember being different is the Mach has the IAT intergrated into the MAF and ours in the elbow. So don't go cutting any MAF wires!

Awesome thanks! Which pulley did you go with on yours?
