I was on the fence about what the right tire size would be with out it sticking out too much. Well as you can see the 315 is too wide! At least for my taste. The wheels I went with do have a 35+ offset so that made it worse. I was planning on not lowering it, but since these big tires didn't cover most of the wheel gap as I hoped, I ordered the Ebaich pro springs. Good thing Americas Tire is willing to switch the 315's for 295's. The 315's cleared and did not rub at all on stock suspension. If anyone was wondering.

I am gonna try and put 305’s on my factory performance 2013 GT500 wheels.

What BS and offset on the wheels? I had 315s on my car and they tucked nicely on a set of 19x11 Forgestar F14s.

315's on 11" wide wheels can fit without issue but you need the correct wheel back spacing.

Your wheel spacing of 35mm is your issue. Are those 10" or 11" wide wheels?

I have been told they are 10’s but havent had one off to measure and no one seems to be sure. They do look to be 10’’ wide rims.

I know I can buy some aftermarket wheels with the right offset and backspacing to get up to 315’s, I just love the look of the factory performance pack wheels and want to try and make at least a set of 305’s fit on these rims if possible.

315 on 20 x 10 +40 wheels widened to 11-1/2” fits perfect. Putting that size tire on a 10” rim bulges the tire too much and if the offset is incorrect pushes it out further.

315/35-20 on SVTPP wheels widened to 11". I'm using 1/4" spacers for the offset.

325/30-20s on 20x11.5" wheels.

I don't advocate putting tires on a rim that are outside of the manufacturer's recommendation. You're going to be hard pressed to find any manufacturer that offers a tire wider than a 285 on a 9.5", OEM sized rim width. How'd I do it?

Yup, its do to the offset of the wheel. Not sure of the backspacing, but the wheel size is 10.5. Unfortunately this is what the KMC website recommended for the Shelby. Just switched them out yesterday for a set of 295/35/20 and they fit perfect and I will be able to lower the car. The tire in that size oddly cost more.

Let’s see a pic of the 295s. I also run 315/35/20s on 11s and they fit flush.
This has nothing to do with the tires, it’s all in the incorrect wheel specs. They look great though.

I see that now. Wanted a bit more rubber out back, but I'm happy with the end result. I lowered it with the Eibach Pro Kit.

Unsure. They are the factory performance wheels. Im unsure how to measure backspace, offset, etc. Im a decent mechanic, but clueless about tires! Other than I need more rubber with this car...Im just gonna go and try the 315/35/20’s and see if they work. Thanks.

I went with the Nitto NT555R’s sized 305/35/20 on my 2013 and love them! They look great and these boys hook well too. Thanks for the suggestion biminiLX!
