I am already bored with my HC Challenger and am going to do some mods to wake it up. Nothing radical, this is still a weekend grocery getter. Here is what I have in mind. Anything I am missing?

2.85 Pulley (I will be sticking to pump gas) Is Hellraiser worth the extra $?
DS
diff brace
1000c Injectors
BAP
Pin kit (is this necessary for the Hellraiser?)
180 T stat

Anything I am missing? Thanks

What fuel will you be running? If you plan to run more than pump gas, go ahead and get the id1300 injectors. Then you can run E85 or race gas and turn up the boost.

My HC on 91 octane is making 805 rwhp 700rwtq. Mods

2.85 upper
Blower spacers
Thermal blanket on the blower
Demon injectors
Lmi Cai

Exhaust is a waste until you get in the 900+ rwhp range. A few companies are offering ported blowers / snouts as well. I’m waiting a year or two for them to sort out the issues, then I’ll probably go this route.

Thanks. I will stick with pump gas. I found some DW1000s for $400 so went with those.

1. are you running hellraiser or metco pulley?
2. did you pin your crank?
3. is crank dampener worth it?
4. have you switched to 3.09?

I am skipping exhaust and CAI as best I can tell these dont do much. In fact I have seen losses from CAIs.

Thanks

I’m just running the metco. Put it on 2 years ago at 10k, now have 56k with no issues. Not pinned either. Stock diff and driveshaft, but I don’t go to the strip and only run street tires.

I’d personally get ID injectors. I found my ID1000s on one of the FB groups, almost brand new in box for 600 bucks. The guy ended up needing more injector and pulled them after a few dyno pulls. That said I definitely would try and avoid paying full price, they get pricey. In any event if go with DW make sure they supply all the injector data needed to tune, I believe they do, but I’d verify.

Thanks. I have ID1300s in my Shelby and agree 100%. That said, my thinking is that the setup on the HC is pretty straightforward and I am having it dyno tuned. Most guys run demon injectors in this setup and I would have to think the DWs are superior in every way.

I would imagine they are definitely better. Just double check with the shop/tuner you are using...some of these tuners get pretty persnickety about the injector you are using.

I have a 10% lower, longtubes, intake, ID1300's, pinned crank and a tune. My car is a 6 speed and I have a aluminum DS, McLeod RXT 1200 and a diff brace.

When I bought my pulley the hell raiser wasn't out and the metco 2.85 was on backorder, plus my tuner recommended only a 10% lower on pump gas.

My car made 785 rwhp and 750 tq and it's a BLAST to drive. Significant difference over stock! You'll love it.

It is said to pin the crank whenever you pulley the car to be safe. Click on my youtube in my sig to watch some vids of my car.
