I "think" those boosted A10 cars are pretty quick. LOLBang for buck on newer cars you’ve already found the answer.
10r80 coyote with boost...
What’s the fun in beating a vette with a vette? Boosted coyote should do the trick. Be even better if you did it with a stick. Butt hurt would be immense.

Huh? Gtrs have killed at all the big roll races events for the past few years.Ha! when i started drag racing in the late 90s it seemed like all of my losses were to VW bugs... true story.
I was gonna post that too haha
From a dig maybe... but most street races these days are rolls so in that case, probably not a GTR. There are faster/cheaper options out there today.... unless you plan to go big money then by all means have at it lol........

You had the wrong GT500, that's all.As the title states if you were to buy a car with the intention of walking a c6 z06 with hci what would it be? There are a few c6zs running around my neighborhood and the baddest one has hci. I just sold my 2012 gt500 but it got me thinking, what would be the best platform to beat a c6z. I would personally say a blown 2018+ 5.0 with the A10. I'm just trying to see if I've overlooked any venerable platform.
Is that car still around? I know it got into a pretty bad wreck at one point. Always liked watching the videos of it.You had the wrong GT500, that's all.
My post was under the assumption of "street car" and a budget of under $200k.
Ok, then I stand with my pick, R8 plus with twins. Car can be had around 115K, twins wouldn't cost more than 30K.
