I always try "overwhelming redundancy"
If I have a wheel or two off I go ahead and lay them under as well.
I'd rather be upset I ruined a wheel and set of underwear if the jack failed, instead of being found a week or so later in a slimmer form.

Good job looking out for everyone. :Fistbump:

This is exactly why I don't get under a car on jack stands unless I also have a floor jack under there. Equipment can fail and I'm not about to trust my life to one support without backup.

Same I always place the floor jack at a good point and something under the tires if the wheels don’t come off. On the Raptor a wheel goes under the rear diff and floor jack up front. And never under any circumstance do I put my legs under the brakes.

This. Any piece of safety equipment that keeps me from dying in a horrible, painful manner is redundant.

1 is none and 2 is 1.

i bought these in 2018 (61197) and they did partially fail on me once under load - fortunately i wasn't underneath the car at the time. it wasn't up at all in the teeth area, but on the bottom tooth it slipped about one tooth where the little flare out section is. will be returning
