I only have debate
Torque, top speed, fuel economy.
.
Then maybe it's ( 4 ),................add 0 to 60 !
I only have debate over 2... That top speed was not really repeatable in real world as well as 0-60. I did get mine up to 191 on a 2 mile stretch in mexico. To my knowledge, I haven't seen real world numbers replicate that 3.5. The closest I've seen is on youtube a supersnake with Mickeys pulls a 3.03. Can someone show me please?

add #5, engine size
IMO I think adding metrics like that into the mix can lead down a rabbit hole, then you'll have guys measuring rotors, wheels, tires, track width ect. The lists will go on into a mystic void. LOL

Because I dont trust manufacturer numbers... Good, bad or indifferent. That goes for the 2020 and the 2013. I had a 2013, and I have a 20 on order. The real world numbers posted by video so far are what I am going by. I never said I believe 1 and not the other. You must have me confused with another post

Its totally your prerogative to stand by manufacturer numbers. I stand by what I see the cars do real world. The manufacturer can claim top speed of 550 mph, if it doesn't achieve it real world, whats the point? Its all good, I was simply asking for clarification on what metrics you were speaking of.

So you don't think a 2020 can do a 0 to 6 in 3.5 ??
Honestly, Im not sure....If I had a gun to my head I'd say no... closer to upper 3s... But the 2013s arent that low either...All the videos, draggys, ect Ive seen are in the 4s

So you don't believe any of Fords #'s ?
Even the ones reported to the government as witnessed by SAE ??

Man, you are splitting hairs now.Lmao. I said I dont trust manufacturer numbers in general. SAE has measured and corrected plenty of numbers reported to them by ALL manufacturers. Why are you so keen to trust? Theres plenty of google search results that will show manufacturers skewing, or flat out lying to government about everything from power to safety. Im shocked you are not aware of that, and if you are why you are posing the questions you are.....
To my knowledge, the government only cares about safety and emissions, neither of which I disputed. You are blending the discussion

That's ignoring the S550's advantages over the S197. The S197 had the classic muscle look that many guys really preferred, and that can be a real advantage if that's your thing. But that's nearly where it stops. Some Ford Exec axed an IRS in S197 because it would cost too much. But let's look at everything else. Interior? Outdated. Chassis rigidity? Not as good. Clearance for wide tires? Inadequate. Oil pump gears? Marginal. Connecting Rods? Marginal. Rear brakes? Lol. But one other major upside is that it offered the glass roof option and if you like cruising at all it makes a huge difference in opening up the interior. The new cars have such a long list of chassis and tech improvements alone that it's not even a comparison.

Exactly.

Model updates become free as time goes on into the new model I.e. s197 to s550.

The price point of the 20 gt500 FIVE years into s550 design run invalidates your point completely.

It’s waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too high.

I have bought my last new Ford, as far as I am concerned, they have priced their products way too high. The 2020 GT500 is nice but no where near as nice as the price says it should be. There is no way in hell I would ever pay a dealer ADM on anything. I have walked on a couple of deals because of ADM over the years. There isn’t a new car on the market that is worth ADM especially when it deprecates to under MSRP the minute I sign the paper work The price on the C8 corvette base model for the 2021 MY will still be under 60k according to the advertising i’ve seen, Hellcats are still a decent price, Dodge 1500 pickups are way cheaper than an F150 with about the same options.
HC Redeye Widebody is $78k msrp.
GT500 is $76k msrp and will destroy the cat in turns.
The first 3 vettes I saw on a nationwide sales is $72k/78k/80k and will lose to the gt500 in everything but 0-60 time.

Everything is expensive! The new Ram Rebels are sweet!

Only problem is the 500 isn't actually $76k, ive been looking since Dec and have just now found a car @ msrp. Most 500's have large ADM's whereas the Hellcat Redeyes have discounts from Dodge

I agree with you 1000%.

I bought my last brand new Ford in 2003. I bought a 2005 Lincoln Aviator in 2007. It only had 16K miles on it. It stickered for $45K and I bought it for $27K.

Ever since then I said I would never buy brand new again.

Now I would rather buy an older car and modify it to my style and taste.

GT500 is badass, but the dealerships can "F" off with their ADM.......
