California sucks lol, I know in AZ I just do collector car insurance so I never have to deal with emissions, maybe you can do the same in California.

I agree. But most people are going to laugh at that price. I’ve seen it Time and time again on fb especially. I rather put it Back to stock and get my money back then sell it for dirt cheap.

Well that might be what you have to do then, return to stock and sell the goodies individually. No matter what price you list it for.....the offers will start much less. I was thinking list for 29.9.....settle in about 26-27 out the door.

Return to stock....maybe get 21-22 out the door for it. Sell the parts individually.

I'd register it out of state. That's my plan once my life settles down a bit. I'm sure I'm going to get reffed despite always passing legitimately. At this point I wouldn't pass and it would be a pain to return to stock.

I hadn't heard about being able to snitch on out of state plates. Not that I'm surprised. But I live in an area with a lot of military so I don't think its noticed as much around here.

I thought remember a law being passed about out of state plates but I can’t remember. Yeah. Registering sounds like the best solution because returning it back to stock is not a option I’m looking forward to doing.

If you don’t daily the car I don’t think you’ll have a problem with out of state registration. It’s only a problem if you’re driving it around all the time and the cops notice.

Very true. Car gets rarely driven. Maybe twice a month or so.

There's always been a law about it. I just hadn't heard about the snitches thing.

For what they're charging me to register my truck and taxing my boat I have no hard feelings registering something that gets driven a few times a month out of state.

you know bob i was looking at how much i pay for registration on my 3 fords and i was amazed to see just how much it has drastically gone up within the past 5 years or so, when that sonofabitch brown increased the registration tax. now, it goes up each freaking year!! at least it used to be that as your vehicle got older the cost would go down. but now it appears to be the opposite.

op since you only rarely drive your car i agree with what the others have said and see what i could do about registering it elsewhere. that is one sweet black cobra, it would suck to have to sell it. **** california

Yeah. It really hurts when that registration bill shows up. And I've had to get my truck smogged since new because it's a diesel.

My truck was $646 this year. Because I have a 3/4 ton I need to pay more for some reason.

Honestly getting taxed on my boat pisses me off the most. I get taxed just become I can afford an extra toy.

Damn! Those registration fees are high for standard issue plates.

So what's the penalty $$$ for an out of state registration violation?

With all the stupid stuff going on.....I doubt the cops are going to worry about your plates
