I load 3 1/2 #4 duck steel in my Beretta. I am of the opinion that I wont get too many shots off before threat is neutralized, or else I would switch to another weapon for the next rounds. Considering a 45ACP carbine.

Picked up an old Gen 1 Glock 17. Sent a 1911 to Nighthawk Customs as well.

Snagged some Strykr conceal carry shorts for summertime. The integrated holster attaches to the leg to make it not flop around or print. The top of the pocket is kept in place with Velcro for quick release.

If you are in the mood, you can handload a few rounds of rock salt to throw into the mix.

you prefer IWB? i cant picture how it would be comfortable to have something like that stuffed IWB. I dont plan to carry a lot (at least not now), so i was considering an OWB holster. Still window shopping. ill check out the two brands you mentioned.

I like OWB, with a loose fit cover shirt.

Since I couldn't find a 57 for the price I was willing to pay, I got another gun I've been interested in for a while...the Canik TP9SFX with the Vortex optic.

Should be here Wednesday, excited to try it out.

I was kind of eyeing those. Didnt get much feedback about them. I went with the SW MP shield 9. I also held a sig P385 (i believe it was) and that gun felt great as well. the local gun shop said it was their #1 selling gun. If i remember correctly, it was in the $560 to $580 range. I definitely learned that ill never buy a gun without holding it. they are all so different and finding the right fit means i need to hold it. let us know how you like the Canik TP9SF

The one I got is the X version (TP9SF vs TP9SFX)...would be comparable to a Performance Center Shield 9. Match grade barrel, ported slide, optic, and every review I've seen states it has one of the best triggers of any factory 9mm striker fire weapon. They retail for $800+ but got mine for $650 on gunbroker via auction :0

Will post up again once I get hands on it, I've only held one of the early Caniks when Century Arms first started bringing them here years ago.
