well just comparing rotary forged vs cast. there's different methods of wheel casting. i see that they make cast, rotary forged and forged wheels. i wasnt aware of that. im sure the race vehicles are running forged wheels. the bargain basement method wheels are obviously going to be the cast version.

the edge wheels were about $188 through Xtreme Terrain. now that they are under Weld Racing they have added some features and it seems the price may have went up some. im not saying Method are bad. i may have been thinking of AEV wheels which are like the holy grail of jeep wheels for some reason.

Just saw a video saying some of the off-road race vehicles are running the exact same wheels they sell for the street.

To me that’s impressive.

These just went on sale, so I went ahead an popped for them. I decided to go with the machined finish since I have had painted wheels on everything I've owned for the past 20 years. Ended up getting them for for $207! I could not pass that up. Now, once I finish burning through the stock BFG's, I will be picking up some 37's.

Bad ass wheel but damn.... they sure do look heavy.
my method double standards in 17' were only 28lb...i was pleased with that, saved me nearly 20lb per wheel over the beadlocks i sold.

@HISSMAN, if weight is a concern, look into the goodyear mtrk in 37"

Anything with a beadlock is going to be heavy. My RZR has 14" method beadlocks on it (pic on prior page) and they are so damn heavy they just about ruined the performance of the car.

The 17" 305 NV's are 24lbs. I would not call that heavy at all. Weight isn't an issue. The 18's are 31lbs. But, I am a 17" guy, so that isn't to big on an issue. These are just simulated beadlock.

If they are as heavy as you say they are not one off road race team would be running them.

Please post weight and prices of the wheels you would go with, then we’ll talk.

Ah....... gotcha. I thought those were real BL's which add a ton of weight.

Nice!

Why do you own them if you hate them so much?
And yes if weight degrades their performance as you say they do not one race team would run them!

2.5" lift
37" tires
Method 17" wheels
Still waiting on my control arms and control arm alignment brackets. But she drives great, and looks better. My Caster is at 2° right now, and my pinion angle is at -4° right now...Ugh. So, once those are installed, I am hoping to get 6° of positive caster, and that should put my pinion angle at 0°...Then life will be good.

I have a 2014 Wrangler. After disconnecting the battery it went into anti-theft mode and required a code. I put the code in and the radio unlocks and works like normal but the horn is still honking, the lights are still flashing and it won't start.
I tried to use both remotes to disable it and nothing.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks!
