Need some help.

First, my Garage gets hotter than ambient because I'm guessing the sun beats on it all day. Can I get some sort of vent system hooked up to cycle it and keep it at least ambient temperature?

Second, got a guy that will do expoxy floors and paint walls for $1/sq foot.

Recommendations on colors? Wanted to go something retro. White floor and sea foam walls?

Going to junk all these garbage shelves.

Be prepared for the epoxy to pull off in 2 years for that price. The cheap stuff doesn't last and hot tires pull it right off the concrete.

I had the chance to get free DIY epoxy (material not labor) and I still passed based on all the research I did. Not worth all the effort to prep if it's not gonna stick.

Yeah I figured it would only be good for 5 years.

Guy did an outstanding job with the house walls and I got several recommendations for his garage work. I was skeptical because I'm aware of the pit falls which is why I didn't sign up to it originally. I've seen guys pay $7-9/sq-ft.

You appear to have a smaller garage and for the price you're paying, getting a minimum of 2 years would be worth it. However, I'd be curious to know what materials he's using on the floor.

Yesterday, I came across this thread and for their flooring, they used Rubaroc on the garage floor and it has me interested. Mostly used around pools, but I think it'd be sweet in the garage. I imagine it's similar cost wise between a quality epoxy?

Edit: After some quick research, it appears to cost a ton more than epoxy. Around $16 a sq ft is what I'm seeing...

So after 7 years of having a 2 car that I had filled up to where I would have to walk sideways to get around in, I have moved and this time found a place with a shop. It is a 50'x30'. It needs some work. It is currently not insulated, but I am working on framing it in right now to add insulation. I have a split heat pump on the way so I can be out in it 365. It's a mess right now, but excited to finally have space (for now). I have already added LED lighting (had 3 single bulb lights to light the place). Also ordering a 2 post lift as soon as I get the framing completed. Pics of said mess. You can see on the back corner where I have started framing. So little time, but so much to do.
