Strong IFS that is warrantied for 37's, can crawl and go quick offroad vs a stick axle so yea

F250/350 has a stick axle, so what. Warrantied for 37s, big deal. Can crawl? Wrangler can crawl, Tacoma can crawl, 4Runner can crawl and so can FJ Cruiser. Go quick off road? Again, so what? The Wrangler is about rock crawling, and slow off roading. The Extreme Recon package gives the Rubicon a better crawl ratio, better angles, higher ground clearance and 35s. I get it, you're proud of Ford for finally building something that can rival and in some instances, beat the Wrangler. But, to call the Wrangler ancient only because it doesn't have an IFS is invalid.

Wow, Factory 392ci, 4.88 gears, and 6 speed manual?! Or are those all separate packages? Even if it's not available with the 392 the 4.88s and 6spd is a interesting factory option!

6SPD manual is only available with the V6. The 392 comes with 4.56s in the Extreme Recon. If you want the 4.88s, you have to get the V6 with a manual.

The top end of the offroad the world is moving to IFS , it out performs the ancient method by a long shot all around, including the rocks. Has yet to be seen in an OEM but Ford is just getting started.

We are talking factory OE applications, not specialty built race/off road one-offs. Most of the extreme hill climbers I have seen a solid axles front and rear.

I know, I just said it's coming... Stick axles were at their prime 60 years ago, now it's time for IFS to play. If you noticed the Bronco 4600 class prototype, you'll see some really interesting trickle down future parts. Like the portals that very well could make their way to OE Bronco's. There are a lot of tricks they very well could start implementing.

Once people see that the Bronco can and will do all the same stuff a Wrangler can but also be comfortable to drive and handle high speed stuff on top the competition will become stronger and the tried and true stick axle, less relevant.

Jeep's biggest failure is not putting the 392 in the Gladiator, you know a truck that would actually benefit from it.

We have a few new Bronco guys that come trailing and off-roading with our jeep groups fairly often. They seem to perform well. No issues. If you're an experienced off road driver, you can do well in most anything. We haven't had to winch any out. As long as Ford keeps a short wheel base, I think they will do fine. Glad Ford made something that can be fun off-roading and perform well while doing it.

We havent had to winch any Broncos out of any tight spots. We have to winch and rescue more Gladiators than anything. That long wheel base makes it a horrible off-road vehicle. Tight turns, with rough terrain, mud and the Gladiator is a joke. Nice looking rig, all fancy...but not for more extreme off-roading.
