Are these a press fit? Can they be removed and shortened easily without taking the intake off? Or even better would be to thread the openings...

Willie - If you still need info., yes pressed as mentioned above. the only way I know of to remove them would be to get a drill bit the same size as the inner diameter of the nipple tube, slide the smooth shank of the drill bit into the tube and use a vise grip on the outside of the tube. The drill bit will keep the tube from crushing while you clamp down on the tube and twist it for removal. I would guess driving new tubes in would be done with a wood block and a mallet/hammer with maybe some lube to assist?

I am still trying to figure of the Kenne Bell Liquid Cooled blower with the Shelby CS Racetrack logo??............Pretty Cool!!!

The steel tubings are press fitted into the aluminium water inlet / outlet manifold. The tubings can be removed by applying heat into the aluminium housing and use a big channel lock to twist the steel tubings back and forth. But you need to remove the water manifold out of the engine and mount it on the bench vise.

The OEM water manifold has a total (6) 90 degree turns - 3 for inlet and 3 for outlet. It actually creates lots of flow restrictions especially on the last 90 degree turn.

If you can use the J2Fab 1" inlet / outlet water manifold and come up a new routing that can improve the water flow.

I have the J2Fab 1" water manifold along with the KB Bigun intercooler bored out to accept the J2Fab 1" inlet / outlet tubes. I also have custom inlet and outlet tuning that eliminates 5 out of 6 90 degree turns. The last remaining 90 degree turns has a smooth 2" radius turn.
