Which WiFi extenders work the best? I was gonna install an outdoor wireless camera.
For my ADT security system. I’m not sure if those are the best cameras though.

Can I install another brand outdoor wireless camera (Other than ADT) and which ones are the best? There’s several on Amazon.
And Obviously I need to put the WiFi extender in an outlet inside the house and closest to the camera.

Do you need constant video monitoring? Or just movement triggered pics/video. I've just used a game camera for that. Very simple solution.

As stated above. Even Spypoint trail cameras can be set up to take video. They can work with your cellular network vs wifi. They also link together to form one net. Cheap intro and subscription too depending how active the cameras are. The other good thing is, it notifies you in real time if it takes a picture and sends it to your phone. We use it more for security against trespassing. It will take some surprisingly good pictures.

We use Apple Airport with Nest cameras.

The airport works flawlessly over 150ft away and literally 100ft elevation difference. (Was told elevation can be hard?)

How about the Arlo wireless cameras? And for like 10 bucks a month you can get notifications, etc.. text to your phone using their app.

Friend at work repurposes his and his wife's old cell phones as security cameras around the house. The app he uses is free also. Pretty cool.

I have arlos and get notifications and can look in live on app without paying. Motion triggered videos stay on app for 7 days, but I believe you can lock videos from being deleted. I think the subscription keeps videos longer(?) but I'm not sure. Have had arlo for years and have never wanted to pay for the subscription. They sell arlo at Costco so can get some deals, especially if you catch a sale.

They work for what they are (relatively cheap-ish wireless cameras). But, if the internet goes out, cameras can't connect to server and videos won't be saved or viewed live. If power goes out (but network still up), the cameras can't talk to the hub, so videos won't be saved.

Like I said in another thread, security cameras are a rabbit hole that you can go down forever. Pops owned his own residential/commercial security company for over a decade so I've heard a lot about the business. There's always a way to "beat" every level of security cameras, so you've just gotta pick your battles and get whatever's right for you.

I've got 3 Spypoint cameras. Used to have 4, but 1 was stolen. Spypoint has terrible customer support. Will not buy another one.

I've mentioned before in other threads, but I have 4 Eufy C24 Outdoor Pro cameras as well as their wired doorbell and they've treated me good so far. Perk for me was the 24/7 recording without a subscription and they are smaller, so hard to notice. I have notifications turned off because I have too much traffic that goes by and didn't want my phone going off every 5 seconds. I do have my doorbell set to alert when pressed and that's the only notification I care to get.

Good review:

Lastly, Wyze is on the budget end and seems to be getting their act together lately, so something worth considering if you don't want to spend a ton.
