This one is a tough one… Definitely sad for all parties involved. Even a lot of cops are condemning the shoot… I say not so quick…

Officer was fired and later arrested… He was tried and acquitted….

What do you think?

LMAO... imagine my shock.

1. Cop's a ****ing pussy.
2. Escalated from the jump.
3. Typical Dipshit on an authority trip.

Acquitted by an all white Jury... LOLOLOLOL. Laughable. Charge should have not been Murder 1. Probably why he got off.

Take the badge away... this guy does 20 to Life.

**** this cop. Hopefully he enjoys his career as a Mall security guard.

Holy shit the cop was totally in the wrong. This is a completely unjustifiable shooting. He never got on the radio and asked for backup until after he shot the guy. It was obvious by the demeanor of the black guy that he was going to be defiant and he should have slowed down until backup arrived. The tasing was justified but with seemingly friendlies of the crook with him he should have just tried to bullshit with them until more help arrived. It looked like the guy charged the cop after the tasing which means it’s go-time for some UFC type shit, but the gun shouldn’t have been introduced.
I disagree with whoever the narrator is who says he shouldn’t have used the taser. There’s no letting the guy walk away at that point.

1) I don’t know how you can claim he was acting like female secret parts. That’s an inaccurate description. More like he’s a moron.
2) The guy who was shot was passively resisting. I think he made a bad decision given the number of people around and his inexperience.
3) he wasn’t on an authority trip, he was trying to do his job. The guy needed to be detained. How is this an authority trip? The dude did his job very poorly, but there wasn’t a power trip. The cop got sucked into the moment and couldn’t control himself or think rationally.

Totally agree, take that mother****er’s badge. I don’t know how he was acquitted to be honest, unless I missed some key point.

Honest question.

This scenerio happens, you got 20 drunks standing around.. a guy comes up sticks his hand out and says "im sorry for the broken glass..."

Why not say, "Hey man that's ok, why don't you come over here and talk to me about it?" Get this guy away from the group and get near your car....

Get on the radio, get some backup since you don't have the full story on what's going on and you have damn near 2 dozen people hammered standing around....

WHY wouldnt you do that??

Scary Black Man guna run from me... pew pew.

Many different ways this should have been handled.

You're right, how dare this scary black man, who's drunk off his ass, slurring his speech, DARE to walk away from him...

come on bruh... this was bad and it got worse because a drunk not thinking straight got shot by a moron cop with very little training on how to handle this situation.

My guess is the Murder 1 charge. This is NOT murder 1. And if i was on this jury, as shitty as this is, I would not convict on Murder 1. Its not the correct charge.

Let that sink in... as much as I HATE COPS.... And i feel this Shit head Murdered this man.... I would convict on Murder 1. Thats not justice. Such bullshit. and Id bet a pay check that Prosecutor KNEW that....

Here is what I say… and I say this while being a bit on the fence… it is / was a terrible situation for all involved…

Facts:

- Officer gets called to the store for a fight between Price and another patron, which resulted in destruction of property.
- Officer arrives to a crowd of people, some intoxicated.
- Officer starts his investigation at which point he ascertains control over the scene and the right to detain one of the would be aggressors.
- Price refuses to follow lawful commands and resists detainment, starts to try and get away. This all happens as there is a crowd of individuals all around the officer, one of which actually tried to aid Price, as he was trying to get away.
- Officer tases price as he is trying to get away and resist.
- After taser fails and still resisting, Price then advances toward the officer and makes a go for one of his weapons (taser), price gets shot as he actually grabs the taser.

The above are ALL FACTS. Undisputed.

As much as I feel like this could potentially have been handled a lot differently, officer have been nicer, more patient, etc. Having that much leeway could have also backfired, EASILY.

Ultimately, it was Prices actions / bad decisions which directly resulted in his death.

There has to be a line drawn… at that point, going after the officer, as he was resisting the taser and pawing / grabbing the officer’s weapons, as his gun was already out, is that line…

You don't fight the officer and / or make a go for his weapons. If you do that, regardless of how drunk or stupid you are, its open season on your ass.

People are getting so shitty I don't even care anymore. Had he complied when he was told to he would be alive. PERIOD. I am soooooo sick and tired of the "well he didn't deserve to die because he was trying to kill the Cop....he was turning his life around. White dude does the same thing.....should've done as you were told. IDGAF No accountability for your actions, no respect for the law and then you wanna put your life in the hands of someone else who might have woken up on the wrong side of the bed for a plethora of reasons. Until I see a video where a Police Officer just walks up and shoots someone for no reason IDGAF.

People are very shitty indeed. Very very dangerous to let some guy that is obviously physically fit, not mentally sound, while surrounded by his buddies, get the upper hand on you. He was already starting to fight with you and grabbing at your weapon.

Everyone gets to sit back, judge and pick apart. Everyone loves to be a social justice warrior. I mean look at Tezz, playing the race card. Even ASP made a ridiculous comment, about the jury on the trial likely being all white people from the cop’s hood… Its ****ing ridiculous.

Had the guy complied the LAWFUL commands and not resisted, not stared a struggle with the officer, he would still be alive.

I agree that the optics are bad, gets you full of emotion and not makimg judgement based on the data and how the officer could have perceived the situation…

Shitty all around.

He certainly could, and should have, although the black guy would not have walked from the group with the officer.

Exactly. When the cop initiated a detention of the male he is not going to simply walk away. Idgaf what issue you have with authority, that is the way it is. If I say you’re not free to leave and I want to place you in handcuffs for officer safety, that is what is going to happen. I think the officer should have read the room before he tried to do that, but once he unzipped his fly, it is what it is at that point.

Your bias is making you think like a liberal. The drunk certainly is culpable. He’s drunk in public, broke windows and wherever the hell else went on which prompted a call to the police. He’s culpable too and not an innocent person.

Ok, now I know you’re a goddamn Democrat. Black has nothing to do with it, but go ahead and hold him up with George Floyd and make this about race. If race had anything to do with this situation it’s because it’s an example of another black man being defiant toward authority when he was in the wrong which prompted authorities to be called there.

He literally walked up to him and went to shake his hand... walking towards him to where the Cop asked him to "Back up...."

Come on Todd... you ****ers go to school to know how to talk to people, get them to answer questions, keep them talking... Its literally two required Courses in the state of Delaware for a degree in CJ....

Escalation of force training? you guys don't receive this? You said it was a bad shoot. Are you walking that back?

Holy shit the cop was totally in the wrong. This is a completely unjustifiable shooting.
Your words.. not mine....

And there it is... I've always said, there is no crime too small the government isn't willing to kill you over.

TK, question for you….

You arrive at that scene… easily out numbered…. For whatever reason, you decide to not wait for back up and decide to put one of the aggressors under detainment… guy is in great physical conditioning, perhaps even superior to yours, he starts resisting, gets tased, it fails and he goes for you and your weapons (while you are surrounded by his buddies) what do you do?
