Rear suspension troubles

I'm curious what are most of you guys are running for suspension, stock or coils? I put Strange coils in the rear to match my front, the rear springs are 10" 150lbs. I will say, the ride has been horrendous since switching to coils from the stock style.

My car is not super low or slammed either, but I had noticed the Strange shocks seemed to be maxed out almost just stationery. I switched them to some Lakewoods as they were a bit longer. Nothing has been changed. Every bump/hole I hit that I can't avoid feels like the car will shake apart. It honestly makes driving it so depressing because it's just uncomfortable.

Other friends with foxes on full coils do not feel like my car. I just don't know why it's like this, is this solely an SN problem, or did I do something different (which I doubt since everything mounts in the same place) or should I put the stock style setup back? Hoping someone can shed some light because I swore I'd get this solved before the nicer weather came back.

I had strange shocks on the rear of my 1997 and they rode fine - I thought the shocks were bad because it rode like shit, but it ended up being the front struts that needed replaced. Are yours good?

150lbs/in seems pretty light for rear springs even coilovers

Does it feel like you're hitting the stops? Is the car set up to cruise or for the strip?

Eibach sportlines with Lakewood 50/50 shocks in the rear drag dials don’t like crazy squatting so these springs work well for me up front I’m running Lakewood 90/10 fox struts and 12 inch 150lb coilovers this combination has worked pretty well

It had qa1 fronts that were leaking and I changed everything brand new to Strange. The rears seemed full stretched sitting so I put Lakewoods because they were a bit longer.

If I hit a bump at speed, the rear feels like it's going through the earth lol. Sitting though and looking, it doesn't seem to be sitting on the stops. It's setup to cruise.

Yea I'm baffled as to why it's like this. Like I said it's not super low, at least I don't think so, it's not riding dirty or anything lol

I feel this is what most people sit at in the rear.

They were already on the car, so not sure when exactly they were put on. They look alright though? Definitely aftermarket. Any way to check if they're shot short of removing them?

Yes. I'd support both the car and the rear end. Disconnect each end of the control arms and check the movement.

Thanks, I'll have to give that a whirl. You really think bad bushings would cause such horrendous ride quality?

This is with the car jacked up on the diff. This is what I was saying before when it seems like there just isn't enough travel on the shocks bodies themselves, therefore the bottoming out I feel going over hard bumps.

Is this normal?? What do your shock bodies look like?

That's not a lot of travel. Crank the coils up a little and see how it rides. Adding some up travel will let you know if you're on the right track.
