Another quick one. A guy used to stand at the intersection in front of my work. He did this for over a year probably closer to two. Held a sign up....Please help xoxoxo (young girl) needs a bone marrow transplant as she has cancer. Please help as we need to get the treatment soon and Doctors want paid in full before treatment. Coal truck drivers would stop and put in bucks, Coal miners would stop going to and coming from work and people would even stop by and help.
After someone from work called the local TV station to see if they could get him and the young girl help, He left. Come to find out the girl had died in the 70's and he had made a small fortune out of it. Brand new Grand Marquis and a Ford F-150 was two of the biggest purchases. No one ever did hear where he disappeared to. Probably the Bahamas.
