I have a fully built engine sleeved billet crank double keyed .ati balancer with steel hub . 4l80e automatic built by rossler. Strange 9 inch full cage. Ect tried to get rid of weak links. But you are right anything can happen even with the best parts.
I have cometic gaskets on mine and also going 4.7 kenbell . I was told that if I keep it under 30 lbs of boost should be fine. I plan on running the 4.7 at about 28 lbs. We will see how well it holds up.
I have 03/04 cobra valve covers on my car. I had MPR build my engine. Sleeved Bryant billet crank Manley 300 m Rods Diamond pistons and all the upgraded timing components. I had it broke in with a Kenbell 3.6 . 1115 at 24 lbs . I am swapping know to the 4.7 I will see what it puts out after...
I have a 8.8 with 9 inch ends welded on by Moser. With 33 spline axles 4:10 and Moser wavetrac. I am going to sell . I also have brand new set of Ford racing 3:73 and pinon bearing. I swapped to Strange 9 inch .
Where you located the temperature has a lot to do with it it will start. If the temperature outside is below 60 the harder it will be to start. I have a 2013 on e85 and I don't even try to start below 50 degrees.
I have a 2013 8.8 with Ford 9inch ends ,Moser wave track ,33 spline axles,and 4:10 gears. I am swapping to a 9 inch rear. If you would like to just swap rears I will be selling if interested. I also have a brand new set of 3:73's and pinion bearing and solid spacer that will go with 8.8.
