Ok guys I have a reg 5.4 engine that I had totally redone at my engine builders shop however he put the pan back on that was on the engine and the engine came out of a 01 f250 ...I had it built for the lightning however the lightning oil pan and the pool pan on that engine seem a little...
I am needing the know the best cams to run with a built engine...I am going .020 over Manley rods pistons factory ported blower and whatever boost I need to I am wondering the best sounding cams and the best performing cams also...thanks
Ok more questions...I am Gina assemble my own. Engine when I send the new rods and pistons to the shop with my crank to have balanced will I need a special balancer or can I just use a reg 5.4 balancer.... Is the lightning stock balancer different from the stock 5.4 balancer and also is the 8...
I have a. 02 lighnting that I bought and I'm curious about what kids are on it I can see that it has a c&l plentum on it and also I think there's a throttle body on it .how can I see and tell for sure what's been done ect ....there's a sct maf sensor on it ect please help thanks
What is the most common performance piston used and also I am gonna bore the engine and need to know what the best size to bore is before I buy the pistons...I'd like to go with a h beam rod and a forged piston thanks guys
I tore down the block and between each of the cylinders there are some z shaped looking cracks between the cylinders are those cracks or casting .....they don't go into the cylinder and aren't deep looking just curious if that's a common thing with the 5.4 engine
