I have a 98 mustang cobra. the engine blew a few months ago and I ended up buying a Teksid aluminum longblock. only problem is that the engine was intended for a Lincoln mark 8. I know ive downgraded by deciding to stick with the cast crank but money is running tight for me and this rebuild...

I just bought a "like-new" 4.6 dohc Teksid block this last weekend and I noticed that the crank is cast and not forged... I believe this engine was made for the Mercury or Lincoln models that received this engine but I'm not 100% sure on that. Is there anything I should be aware of before...
