    Power steering pump

Motorcraft STP-30-RM. Rockauto should have it. It is a remanufactured unit as that is all Motorcraft now offers.

    Engine / Transmission harness questions

Without pulling apart my car I'm not sure I can offer you much more help. I believe Item 3 in the bottom frame labeled "engine control sensor wiring connector" is indeed C139 and the other half of the connector in you Picture #5. It must connect under the intake manifold. I can't say for sure as...

Old fuel draining by jumping the fuel pymp

Cranking at WOT will prevent the injectors from firing. I have needed to do this on occasion with my '01 if it stalls after a cold start. Acts like it is flooded.

    Engine / Transmission harness questions

I think you are mistaken. The connector in Picture #5 appears to be an 8-way. The knock sensor connector is similar in design and looks, but is only a 2-way connector. What are the wire colours going to that connector?

    Best IRS / Suspensions upgrades?

I installed the FTBR setup a few years ago. I would definitely recommend the whole package. Here is a picture of the assembly ready to re-install. The kit is pretty straight forward but it is not for the beginner. I even made my know puller tool to remove the bushings

That silver disc is a fuel pressure damper. Here is a good picture.

    Engine / Transmission harness questions

Picture 5 has a black 8-way connector in your hand. If it has 4 wires going to it (BK/PK, DG/OG, LG/WH, and YE/WH) then it is inline connector C1008 which is for the wiper motor. There should be the other half behind the lower cowl cover. Here is a picture of the harness going in behind the...

    Engine / Transmission harness questions

The PCM uses the front O2 sensors to control the fuel being injected into the engine. The rear O2 sensors are used to monitor the efficiency of the cats and will throw a MIL if the signal is out of range. I don't believe you can just not use all four O2 sensors, even with tune.

    Engine / Transmission harness questions

The only 2 green EPC connectors I have information on are the front oxygen sensors and the only true way to determine left from right is by wire colours. They are on two different harnesses, the left is on harness 12B637 (that is just the base part number) and the right is on 15525. BTW, the...

    Engine / Transmission harness questions

The 2-pin connector in the picture with your gloved hand I believe is a fuel injector connector. Likely the right front injector (Inj-1) and should have a RD and a TN wire.

The green connectors are for the front O2 sensors. Here is the information on the connectors for the O2 sensors: C168 - Green housing, Left front, Wires - RD/BK, GY/RD, RD/YE, YE/LB C169 - Green housing, Right front, Wires - GY/LB, GY/RD, RD/YE, RD/WH C193 - Blue housing, Left rear, Wires -...

    Help guys

King Bearings are the most popular for the 4V engine. I believe the MB5283HP for mains is what you want, and for rods CR 868HPN. There are many options. You need to look at the King Bearing catalogue and pick want you want within your budget.

    Help guys

Is there some reason to pull the engine apart? What are your ultimate goals? What is your definition of "full bolt ons". What horsepower are you currently pulling? What are you going to use the car for?

Old fuel draining by jumping the fuel pymp

The Fuel pump module in the trunk is connector C451. Pin-3 (RD-BK) is power [+] to the fuel pump. Pin-10 (BN-PK) is negative [-] to the pump. I would just drop the tank even if the you can get the pump working. Just imagine what that old fuel will do to the pump.

Rescued Cobra engine front assembly help

    1) You can bend it as said previously. 2) You got it. The Christmas Tree retainer pushes in there. Damn, I thought my engine bay was pretty clean. 3) I need to look more for this.

    Power harness routing to starter

Here is a picture of that harness bracket from my car. It is held in place by the stud-bolt on the front of the engine mount and is in line with the oil pan. Hope this helps. It wasn't too cold today so it was no problem to jack up the car and snap this picture.

    Power harness routing to starter

I have a Ford Shop Manual on CD but it does not show how this harness is run. All the engine bay reference is from above, none below. I would have to jack up the car an crawl underneath to get some pictures. Let me know if you need that and I will provide.

Seeking advice for a budget iron block build

You would need to go with a piston that is -1 cc or less. There are a few around but may be too costly for what you are trying to do. My calculations are for stock block deck height. Decking the block 0.020" will get you to 10.34:1. There was some variance on combustion chamber size from the...
