I had to run some errands earlier so I hop in my DD, a 03 V6. The car has 93K miles on it, 2 month old battery, regular maintenance yada-yada. Very well taken care of.
So I get in the car today, turn the key and hear what sounded like an electrical tick for 1/10th of a second. After that nothing worked, not even the key fob to lock/unlock the car. I could turn the ignition all the way and put it all through PRND still, yet literally nothing worked or made any sign of being slightly alive.
I opened the hood to see if anything didn't look right. I didn't touch anything, just slammed the hood shut. I tried the car one more time and viola, fires right up like a champ:shrug: I take care of my errand, get home and turn the car off. I tried to start it again just to see what happened and the same problem was happening. I opened the hood, slammed it shut, then the car worked again?!:dw: I don't have time to fiddle with it today but it just seems like something got loose? What could cause this?
