Someone said the PATS system could be bad? is there a fuse for that? i checked the fuel pump fuse and all others under the hood and they're good... the car is getting fuel, raw smell in the exhaust when cranking for 5-10 seconds.

At first, car cranked slow, was still half dead jumping it.

When fully charged later, it cranked fast jump starting still off a diesel 6.0L ford with dual 1000ca batteries..... just no spark. It doesnt even try to sputter like something is wrong.

The car is unmodified and has just over 12k miles on it, last started around Valentines day, jump started then and ran fine after just a few cranks.

Premium fuel was last filled December 10th 2012, with fuel stabilizer... doesnt smell bad, other cars filled much longer ago than that were fine such as the 04 cobra...

What could it be?
I have one key fob and one key. Its stuck at our shop now :/

Maybe the battery is dead for good? Do a static voltage test on it. If the battery reads 12.45v it's at about 75% life and 12.6-12.7 is 100% charge. But you have too remove the surface charge to get accurate reading. Leave the head lights on for 2-3 minutes. If you read anything below 12.45v then pretty much it'll have a hard time cranking over. Hope this helps.

If the battery has vented caps just remove them and see if it's low on water. You can always top it off with distilled.
