It may get old, but tell me whats untrue about the statement? You know what else gets old? 5.0 guys comparing their cars to the GT500 on most 5.0 forums (apples to oranges):poke: Fact: In 2010 when deciding whether to purchase a 2011 GT or '10 GT500 I compared cost/performance. A fully loaded 2011 GT was literally going to cost me as much as a 1200 mile used 2010 GT500. My choice was a no brainer. She may be a pig, but for a measely $650 I upped the power to 540rwhp 545rwtq. For $650 on the 2011 I would have been able to purchase CAI and tune (netting around 400rwhp) and still lacking the forged internals. Sure we can talk about throwing a blower on the 5.0....but lets do the math. $5,000-$7,000 for a supercharger on top of the cost of the 5.0 and not even have the security of forged internals (sure the 5.0 has handled high HP, but for how long is unknown)? So lets forge the car now....thats another what? $2,000-$4,000 depending on who does the work. So anywhere from $7,000 to $11,000 on just upgrades to equal the performance and reliability of the GT500. '11+5.0 is an amazing motor and car, but its all about what youre wanting to get out of the car and how much you're willing to spend. If people are going to try and compare them, the cost to upgrade each is going to be thrown out there because its a valid point. PS. I just priced out a 2013 GT with my preferred options. Are you sitting down? $44,950 Thats just crazy
