Alot of people already commented with the information but I'll solidify it. 1. Compression. 11:1 engines are no joke with boost. Again as the old school modular guys build more and more capable setups you'll see it. 2. ECU: Again everyone builds these crazy high HP builds on stock ECU's and do nothing with the build other than street drive.. most are going Holley now 3. RPM: Limited by stock ECUs for the old school guys. Coyote's spin 8-8500rpm.. Again with the new builds coming to light and Holley ECU's you'll see modulars spinning this RPM.. I'm one of them already turning 8000+rpm.. Others are following suit. 4. Transmission:6R80.. Lock up in 2-6th I think.. BUT again.. every cobra so far is all manual cars with deadly engine combo's.. That's not gonna get you the trap.. Again more people are switching to Auto's so that'll help the cause.. 5. Blowers: The blowers for the Coyote platform are far superior than what is offered for the 03/04 Cobra platform. Whipple's gen5 for the coyote with the top mount intercooler flows so much more air through the cooler than the Cobra's. everyone keeps trying to build a new core that flows more CFM but that has yet to happen. Until whipple makes a top mount cooler setup for the Cobra's, or until the 03/04 Cobra guys swap to a centri and a custom A/W or A/A I also feel they will trap higher. As it stands right now I know of myself and another guy who are actually racing a centri belt driven cobra.. everyone else is dyno numbers.. I don't even have dyno numbers for mine lol Stay away from the Iron block.. Teksid only.. Std bore.. 10-11:1 compression, all the headword, big cams, ECU, Auto, Big blower.. You'll see it.. My car is probably getting really really close 160mph trap and that was with the 19psi setup.. I predict I'll be 126-127mph in the 1/8th with the smaller pulley I just put on it.. My car typically backhalfs 34-35mph.. That'll be on like 23psi.. Billet wheel ysi and a about 27psi I'll be up in the mid 160's more than likely.
