Hey all, I have the BBQ tick on my 13 GT. I took the car to the Ford dealer and they said, they have heard this noise on couple of other Mustangs and there is nothing they can do unless the noise gets louder. My car being out of warranty I am willing to try anything to get rid of this annoying sound. Spent many weeks online researching and found out that Mobil 1 0W40 and Cera Tec Friction Modifier works great to get rid of the sound. As soon as I receive the Cera Tec I will put them both in to see if the tick goes away. I just want to know if the 0W40 Euro spec is ok to use on the 5.0 engine. I have the Track pack which says to put 5W50, last oil change I used Castrol's full synthetic 5W50 which made the tick to happen almost all the time compare to 5W20 which the tick would come and go, specially if the car was hot. Anyways I will put the new oil in and report back next week if my ticking is gone or not.
