18 mpg's today!!

I took a 3 hour road trip to the beach today and got 18.1 mpgs according to the readout. I know there is alot of talk about gas mileage and i found that between 60 and 70 is ideal. Im going to check it next time i fill up to see how accurate it is. :beer:

5.4 or 6.2? I've managed a best of 17 in my 6.2 but that was at 60mph.

I got 17mpg once going down I-95 doing 80mph with the cruise set.

5.4. oh and that was with one of those fancy mesh tailgate nets from the 80's and a/c off................................................................................... ok i really dont have a tailgate net

I got my truck right when it was starting to get warm in Phoenix, I don't think the a/c has ever been off in my truck, lol. Maybe I should turn it off one day and see how I do on the mpg's. Nah, f that, it's hot out now, lol.

yeah thats got to suck. we race in phoenix in feb and its warm. hell it was warm in jan. when we tested there.
