I got some work done today. I started out painting the inner fender area. Then I went out and bought a bunch of paint Then I began work on the engine. This is how much dust was built up in the balancer and crank pulley. I tore it down to a shortblock and spent a few hours cleaning and degreasing the block before painting it. I'm still unsure on if I like the color, but I'll know for sure once I get some more stuff painted and mock it all up. Ignore the oil pan, It's coming off to weld an oil drain line on so I'll paint it while it's off. Then I started degreasing and sanding on a few brackets. And painted them up And I also got a delivery. A little mockup of the scottrod panels. I had to do a little modding to make them fit but they fit AMAZING. Well worth the money! And a mockup of some 315/30/18's I snagged for free. Next up is painting almost every piece for the engine. I have everything needed to put it together either next to the car or in the mail minus a good stall. Then it'll be time to weld up the bay and get some color on it. I've never welded or painted with real paint before so it should be interesting... It'll probably turn out pretty terrible the first time but we shall see.
